Question: How long will my home inspection take?
Answer: Most inspections take between two and three hours, depending on the size and age of the house.
Question: What type of report will I receive?
Answer: You will receive a written, narrative comprehensive report, broken down into categories and systems inspected in your house. Most houses result in a report exceeding 20 pages covering a vast amount of information about your home.
Question: When can I expect to receive my report?
Answer: In most cases the report can be delivered by email (PDF Format), usually the next day.
Question: Should I attend my home inspection?
Answer: Absolutely, We encourage you and any family members or friends to attend the inspection.
Question: If I cannot attend the inspection, what happens?
Answer: It is always better to attend, but with today’s busy schedules sometimes it may not be possible. Typically your realtor will be there. Our report is written in a very comprehensive format, and you can always call me to go over any details on the report.
Question: When is my payment due?
Answer: Payment is expected at the end of the inspection. We accept cash, check, Visa and Mastercard.
Question: Is a radon test included in my home inspection?
Answer: We can test for radon upon your request. This is usually discussed when you call to arrange the inspection. If a radon test is to be done, advise your realtor that closed house conditions are required 12 hours before the inspection, and a minimum of 48 hours until the test kit can be retrieved.
Question: Is a termite inspection included?
Answer: We do termite inspections along with your home inspection upon your request. This can be discussed when you call to arrange your inspection. You will receive the results of your Wood Destroying Insect Report on form NPMA-33 (required by most lenders)
Question: Are septic inspections available?
Answer: We can arrange through a separate Septic Inspection Company to have your septic tested. With advance notice we can usually coordinate both inspections to be at the same time. You will receive a separate report from the septic company, you are also welcome to choose your own Septic Inspection Company.
